Website migration from Wix, Tilda, and other website builders

Your website lives on Tilda, Wix, or another website builder, you pay for it every year, and the prices are typed right into the pages. I move all of it to a website that belongs to you.

  • from $350

Priced on the same scale as a new website: what counts is the size, not where the website is moving from

What it gives you

The website becomes yours, and you no longer have to pay for a website builder every year. The price list moves over down to the last line, and from then on a price is changed in one place, not on every page it was typed into.

What is included

  • All the content: pages, text, images, and the price list, down to the last line. You won’t have to move anything yourself.
  • The price list goes into one place. Prices typed into the pages are gathered into one price list, and from then on the number on each page is filled in from it.
  • Redirecting old addresses, if you need them. Then the old addresses lead to the new ones, so you don’t lose your positions in search.
  • The website is rebuilt, not copied: easy to use on a phone, fast to open, with search markup, like a new full website build.
  • Analytics moves along with the website: the data from before and after the migration sits in one place, so there will be something to compare against.

Price and timeline

The price range runs from a simple version to a complex one. I name the exact price after a review, before work starts, and it does not go up without your consent. Timelines are in business days, counted from when I receive the deposit and the materials.

A page is a separate address: the home page, a service, the price list, the contact page, an article. Migration from a website builder costs the same as a new website of the same size: the site is rebuilt, and on top of that the content is moved and old addresses are redirected.

The exact price depends on how many pages you need and whether the new work has to be connected to what you already have running. A review commits you to nothing.

Prices for everything else are in the approximate price list.

How the work goes

  1. Review

I look at what you have now and where you’re losing time or customers, and I tell you what can be done about it. You don’t have to decide anything before this conversation.

  2. Plan

One page: what I do, what is not included, and what I need from you. This is also where the scope and the price become clear.

  3. Build

I work in stages and show you the result of each one, not everything at once on delivery day.

  4. Check

Before delivery, I run everything on your real data: prices, scenarios, errors.

  5. Handover

I hand over everything: the code, access, and instructions. Then you choose a format: take it all yourself or leave the maintenance to me.

How it looks in practice

Salon website on Koh Samui: a move off a website builder, and not a single price was lost

A beauty salon on the island of Koh Samui ran on a website builder. I moved the site to a new engine: the whole price list moved and is now verified by an automatic check before every publication, so a wrong price will not make it onto the site. The salon’s old name will not return to the pages either: that is checked automatically.

What people ask about this service

Why does a migration cost as much as a new website?

Because the website is rebuilt, not copied, and on top of that comes moving the content and, if needed, redirecting old addresses. What counts is the size of the website, not where it is moving from.

How does the migration go?

First the new website replaces the old one in full, with the complete price list and all the services, and only then is it tuned up: text for customer searches, markup, whatever is out of date. Not the other way around: the business does not stay on the old website while the new one is being polished.

What will happen to the old links?

It depends on whether you need them. If you do, I’ll set up redirects: anyone who comes through a link from search, a bookmark, or someone else’s website will land on the same page of the new website. If you don’t need the old address, no redirect is required.

Will you move a website from WordPress or Wix too?

Yes: from Tilda, Wix, WordPress, or another website builder. That doesn’t change the price: what counts is the size of the website.
